Fiona Colbert
Fiona Colbert Donaghey is a Registered General Nurse (RGN) and Registered Nurse Prescriber (RNP), working as an Emergency Cardiology RANP at Beaumont Hospital. She holds a BSc and MSc in Nursing, and is a Fellow of the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (FFNM RCSI). She is also an Honorary Teaching Associate at RCSI and serves as a Radiological Nurse Referrer Site Coordinator.
Fiona is a nurse representative on the National Advisory Committee for Nurse and Midwife Referrers of Radiological Procedures and is Chairperson of the Advanced Practice Section of the INMO. She is an experienced ACLS and BLS instructor and a member of the ANP/CNS grand rounds team at Beaumont Hospital.
She has a particular interest in women’s cardiovascular health and is currently undertaking an MSc in Preventive Cardiology. Fiona trained at Thames Valley University in Slough before returning to Ireland, where she worked in the Mater Hospital prior to joining Beaumont Hospital.
She has many years of experience working in the CCU at Beaumont Hospital, progressing from staff nurse to CNM1 and CNM2 roles, and later working briefly as an ADON out of hours before beginning her ANP journey. She registered as an ANP in 2017 and continues to work as part of the team, providing advanced clinical care.
