Sarah Milnes

Sarah is an experienced midwife caring for women across the childbirth continuum. She spent thirteen years working at Leicester Royal Infirmary across many specialities where she developed a breadth of experience supporting women with additional care needs. Her passion for supporting students led her into academia, initially as a seconded lecturer followed by a substantive post in 2019.

Since joining the University of Leicester Sarah has completed an MSc in Advanced Midwifery Practice and has presented and published her dissertation examining the experiences of student midwives who enter the profession as mothers.
