Group B Strep Support (GBSS) is a UK charity working to stop group B Strep infection in babies and support families affected. On average, two babies develop GBS infection in the UK every day. Every week, one baby dies and another survives with long-term disability.

We raise awareness among expectant and new parents, educate healthcare professionals, support research and campaign for better prevention, testing and care. Our work brings families’ experiences together with clinical expertise to help improve information, practice and policy.

We provide free, evidence-based resources for families and professionals, including the joint RCOG and GBSS patient information leaflet, materials for maternity services and a free CPD-accredited eLearning module.
