Maternal Mental Health Problems Rising

Louis Theroux’s latest documentary ‘Mothers On the Edge’ shone a light on the terrifying realities of psychosis in new mothers – however amongst midwives and health visitors the volume of conversation around post-partum mental health has been steadily rising for some time.

In this standing-room-only seminar from the Midlands Maternity & Midwifery Festival, Dr Jessica Heron, Director at Action on Postpartum Psychosis and Dr Sally Wilson discuss the vital need for more training for midwives on postpartum psychosis and what midwives can do to identify early signs and symptoms.

Plus Dr Sally Wilson shares her own experience of postpartum psychosis following the birth of her daughter.
