Steve Pitman

Steve is a Registered General Nurse and is the Head of Education and Professional Development at the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation. He is a member of the NMBI Education, Training and Standards Committee and the Department of Health Specialist Group Panel of the National Implementation and Monitoring Committee. Steve completed a degree in Social Psychology at Loughborough University, and Masters degrees in psychology at the University of Bristol and Dublin City University. He is also a Fellow of the RCSI Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery.  Steve worked for over a decade in the RCSI Institute of Leadership as Programme Director and lecturer covering leadership, organisational development and change. He has a interest in work and organisational psychology and more recently the psychological impact of COVID-19 on nurses and midwives
