Lorelei Margison
First year student midwife, University of Birmingham
Student ambassador.
Lorelei is a first-year student midwife currently undertaking her clinical placement at Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield. She previously studied BSc Human Biological Sciences at Oxford Brookes University, where she developed a strong foundation in anatomy and physiology, and discovered her passion for midwifery while researching the impact of advanced maternal age on adverse birth outcomes for her final dissertation.
Lorelei has a particular interest in the delivery suite environment, where she is inspired by the dynamic nature of intrapartum care and the opportunity to support women and families during such a significant and transformative time. She is devoted to promoting safe, compassionate, and women-centred care, and is a strong advocate for informed choice, dignity, and empowerment within maternity services.
With a growing enthusiasm for midwifery practice, Lorelei is committed to developing her clinical skills while championing respectful, individualised care. She brings a thoughtful, proactive approach to her learning and is dedicated to making a positive contribution towards the experiences of the women and families she supports.
