Anna Melamed is a registered midwife and midwifery lecturer based in Bristol. She has practiced as a midwife in London and Bristol, most recently in community settings. She is currently teaching on the pre-registration programme at the University of the West of England. She has a Masters in Global Maternal Health from City University. She has researched and written on increasing equitable access to midwife led birth settings and feminist analysis of midwifery care. She is currently researching antenatal risk assessment.
