Dr Jeanne Lythgoe

Dr Jeanne Lythgoe is a midwife and nurse with over 42 years’ experience; working within NHS for 30 years and for the past 12 years as a midwifery educator and researcher. Her research interests lie in improving the care of women and families related to Public Health: including: infant feeding and care, perinatal & infant mental health, care of vulnerable women & families, global midwifery, acupuncture and health promotion. She is committed to the development of both student & qualified midwives at home and internationally through the power of knowledge. Her current role is as a Senior Lecturer at Salford University leading on postgraduate midwifery education including supervising a variety of PhD projects and as an active researcher.
