JoAnna Greenock

JoAnna Greenock came to midwifery as a second career, having initially studied and worked in architecture before retraining as a midwife in 1996. She went on to build a long and varied clinical career in midwifery in Glasgow, developing a strong commitment to supporting women, families, and the maternity workforce. In 2013, JoAnna diversified into clinical education, taking up a role as the Practice Development Midwife within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. This marked the beginning of a continuing passion for education, professional development and supporting maternity staff to grow in confidence and capability. JoAnna subsequently moved to NHS Education for Scotland and now works within Public Services Delivery Scotland as part of the Scottish Multiprofessional Maternity Development Programme (SMMDP) team. Drawing on her extensive clinical and educational experience, she is passionate about multiprofessional learning, development and creating meaningful educational experiences that support safe, high-quality maternity care throughout Scotland.
