Training Together from the Start team

The Training Together from the Start team is a multidisciplinary collaboration between Swansea Bay University Health Board and Swansea University, bringing together midwifery, obstetrics, medical and practice education, and simulation expertise. The team includes Claire Parkin, Leanne Daniel, Danielle Clifton, Ellie Brown, Charity Knight, Abdi Ali, Danielle Smith and Samantha Thalayasingam, with support from Professor Joanne Davies and the Swansea University SUSIM Team. Together, the team developed this simulation-based interprofessional learning initiative to strengthen role understanding, communication, psychological safety and collaborative working between future midwives and doctors, with the shared goal of supporting safer maternity care.
