The National Breastfeeding Helpline offers friendly, non-judgemental, independent, evidence based breastfeeding support and information to anyone in the UK who needs it.

The helpline is provided by the Breastfeeding Network and the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers. It is funded by Public Health England and the Scottish Government.

The helpline is open 9.30am – 9.30pm every day of the year, including holidays, on 0300 100 0212. We also offer support in Welsh and Polish on the same number.

We offer 121 support via webchat at bit.ly/NBHChat and via social media message on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

All support is provided by volunteers, all of whom have personal experience of breastfeeding and have completed extensive training with BfN or ABM. All volunteers are required to keep up to date with ongoing training and supervision.

Everyone is welcome to contact us including parents, grandparents, friends, and healthcare professionals. We’re here for you whatever your breastfeeding question or worry is, and we’ll support you whatever your breastfeeding goal is – whether that’s getting through the next feed, next day or the next week or the next year, we’re here for you.
