The Student Midwife Experience Festival | 8 November 2023

The 5th National Student Midwife Experience Festival takes place on Wednesday 8 November online and in-person at South Bank Rooms, Coin Street Conference Centre, 108 Stamford St, London, SE1 9NH (5 mins from Waterloo Station).

A free to attend, one day festival for all student midwife year groups, student midwifery societies and their lecturers.

Created with student midwives for student midwives and brought to you by The Student Midwife Journal, All4Maternity, The Nursing and Midwifery Council and the Maternity and Midwifery Forum.

This exciting venture includes a fantastic virtual exhibition, guest presentations, workshops and discussions, culminating in the festival programme on 8 November, polls and surveys to gauge what student midwives really value and want from their education.

Can’t get to London?  Book a lecture theatre and screen, be ready to take part, submit your best pictures, bring cake, have fun!  Accessible on all internet enabled devices including your smartphone.

Student midwives and academics can participate in a range of ways:

  • In-person – Coin Street Conference Centre, Stamford Road, Waterloo
  • On campus – by getting together as a group in a lecture theatre (a viewing party) to watch the live stream, submit questions and discuss the content with your lecturers
  • Online – from your classroom, desk, sofa
  • On demand – catch up with all of the presentations via the festival box set which will be sent to all participants a few days afterwards
