As part of the review of Advanced Practice for nursing and midwifery, the NMC four country midwifery advisers are hosting a webinar. The webinar will discuss advanced practice midwifery and we’ll cover what advanced midwifery practice is, the clinical areas advanced practitioners are working in, what it means for and how it helps women, babies and families. We’ll also cover the differences between enhanced/advanced and consultant level roles.
We’ll hear from two advanced practice midwives about examples of service improvements and a day in the life of an advanced midwifery practitioner:
- Carolyn Romer (Lead Midwife SWL & Surrey Heartlands Maternal Medicine Network)
- Elizabeth Bennett-Hayes (Advanced Clinical Practitioner and Lead for Enhanced Maternal Care Escalation and Response Team (EMCERT) and Training Programme Director (Midwifery) Centre for Advancing Practice.
If you’d like to join to hear more about the review and the opportunities for midwives, you can sign up here (the first webinar will be repeated so no need to attend both):
