Public Health England (PHE) was set up on 1 April 2013 as an operationally autonomous executive agency of the Department of Health.
Our mission is to protect and improve the nation’s health and to address inequalities through working with national and local government, the NHS, industry and the voluntary and community sector.
Immunisation is the single most effective way to protect pregnant women and their babies, infants, children and adults against infectious diseases. Public Health England publishes an extensive range of materials on immunisation, for individuals, parents and health professionals. We are incredibly proud to announce that we have introduced the COVID-19 vaccination programme. This year we are focusing on COVID-19 vaccination information and the new hepatitis B pathway for mothers and babies at risk of hepatitis B and making sure everyone is up to date on their routine vaccinations. We are delighted to be part of Maternity, mother and baby and recognise the important midwives play and how powerful there are as advocates of vaccination so come and visit our stand today!
