Dr Jenny Hall

Jenny has been involved in midwifery for over 40 years, in practice, publication or higher education. Her passion is to view women’s needs holistically, with research that includes recognising spirituality, promoting dignity and respect and human rights. Her Doctoral study, The essence of the art of a midwife, included revealing aspects of love and compassion. She encourages reflective practice, particularly using artistic methods and has further interest in educating for Sustainable Development. She is Fellow of the Royal College of Midwives and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She is an experienced author and editor, previously editor of The Practising Midwife, including books on spirituality. She is currently working more flexibly on education and research projects, including as curator of the MATFLIX boxsets.
