Jacqueline Richards

After initial professional nursing education, Jacqueline Richards worked in the speciality of orthopaedics briefly at Manchester Royal Infirmary before training as a midwife at the University of Central Lancashire.  

In thirty years of experience in the clinical area, both UK based and overseas, she has completed a Masters (Community Health) at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and composed a PhD thesis. This Doctoral study focuses on an area that reflects her passion for safe motherhood and human rights – in sexual and reproductive health.  

Since October 2025, Jacqueline has been appointed as Lecturer, in Health, Wellbeing and Social Care at The Global Banking School, Manchester campus, part of the Oxford Brookes University partnership.
