We are researchers from the University of Central Lancashire who are undertaking a project funded by the Lancashire and South Cumbria Local Maternity System. The study aims to explore the experiences of maternity care and mental health needs and support amongst ethnic minority women in Lancashire and South Cumbria.
As part of this study we are asking women to complete a survey (that takes ~15 minutes to complete – the survey is available in seven different languages (English, Punjabi, Urdu, Gujarati, Arabic, Polish and Romanian). The information will be used to help shape future training and services. The study is anonymous, voluntary, and has been approved by the Health ethics committee at the University of Central Lancashire.
If you are over the age of 18 years, have given birth in the last 2 years (since January 2019) in Lancashire and South Cumbria, and are from an ethnic minority background, we would really like to hear your views. Please access the survey via the link https://uclan.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0vU3BPacH7lkrt4 or the QR code.
If you have any questions about the study please contact Professor Gill Thomson (GThomson@uclan.ac.uk) or Raeesa Jassat (RJassat1@uclan.ac.uk).
