Ruth Weston

Ruth Weston, is the mother of five children born in Bradford. Eight weeks before the birth of her fourth child she bought on impulse Aquabirths Birthing Pools – because she liked it so much she bought the company. This funded her true passion which was to make UK maternity services a truly woman centred quality service, with continuity of midwifery carer at the heart of it. She has set up community birth and breastfeeding groups, local and national campaigns, has chaired what is now called NMVP, spoken regularly on Radio and TV, and spoken at conferences and seminars across the country. She has now written up her experience so others can learn from her successes and failures. Born Stroppy: Make Change Happen is part autobiography, part tool kit for change. Be inspired!
