The Maternity and Midwifery forum would like to offer huge congratulations to Jacqueline Dunkley-Bent on her new appointment as the first Chief Midwife at the International Confederation of Midwives.
Jacque is the current, and first, Chief Midwifery Officer for England, and will be leaving to take up the new post in May. She has had vast experience across midwifery in clinical practice, education, policy, strategy and management and is a wonderful ambassador for midwifery.
We shall miss her expertise greatly in the NHS, and also in the Forum, as she has been a regular contributor to festivals and the midwifery hour. We will share more about Jacque in the future, but for now, we wish her well as she moves to her new role and say a big ‘thank you’ for all the wonderful things she has brought to midwifery so far!
Take a look below at some of Professor Jacqueline Dunkley-Bent OBE’s presentations at the Maternity and Midwifery Hour and Festivals to date.
