Caroline Flint qualified as a midwife in 1976. She has worked as a Community Midwife, Independent Midwife, Birth Centre Midwife and Home Birth Midwife. She has always worked in a way that ensured that she could form a relationship with the mothers and families she cared for. She was on call for 47 years and managed to have an active family and social life. She has written six books about birth and was President of the RCM and an Advisor to the All Party Select Committee on the Maternity Services.
