Breathe Melodies Programme Ambassador
Jay Hayson participated in the 10-week Breathe Melodies for Mums programme at Stanley Arts in South Norwood in Summer 2025, funded by Croydon Council. She joined the programme when her baby was three months old and developed a strong connection with the group, including fellow participant Lucy Scott.
Following the programme, Jay became an ambassador for Breathe, supporting efforts to improve access to mental health support for new mothers. She has contributed to wider public conversations about maternal wellbeing through a film for BBC News and an appearance on BBC Woman’s Hour.
Jay works in the civil service and joins Breathe Arts Health Research to share her experience with the London Maternity & Midwifery Festival audience.
