Meghan Luton
Midwifery Lecturer, Middlesex University
Meghan Luton is a dedicated midwife, Senior Midwifery Lecturer and Programme Leader of the 3 year programme at Middlesex University in the United Kingdom. She completed her HEDip (Midwifery) At the University of West London (Formally TVU and has since accumulated extensive experience in midwifery practice and education, including an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice from City, University of London.
Meghan’s research primarily focuses on improving maternity care for deaf women. She is currently pursuing a PhD exploring the experiences of deaf women in maternity care, aiming to identify and address communication barriers within healthcare settings.
Throughout her career, Meghan has contributed to various publications and presentations, sharing insights from her research to enhance the quality of care for deaf women and their families. Her work emphasizes the importance of effective communication in maternity services and advocates for the needs of underrepresented communities in healthcare.
