Maternity & Midwifery Hour – Top 10 viewed episodes of 2022

As the year draws to a close we have looked over our statistics from the last 12 months to put together our top 10 most viewed episodes of Maternity & Midwifery Hour, our weekly online programme sponsored by MATFLIX.

Maternity & Midwifery Hour was launched back in the dark, fraught early weeks of the pandemic. As the world slowly shut down and it became obvious that face to face events wouldn’t be taking place for a considerable length of time, we wanted to find a way to keep in touch with our audience and provide a space where midwives could come together, albeit online.

Episode 1 of Maternity & Midwifery Hour took place on the 3rd April 2020 with the aim as stated by our host, the indefatigable Sue Macdonald “”to provide information & support to midwives, student midwives and all supporting women, babies & families at the moment”.

2 years on and this weekly programme is now concluding its 8th series, such has been its popularity. This year saw a full return to face to face events and we were delighted to be able to deliver our full schedule of festivals througout England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. Maternity & Midwifery Hour will carry on however and continue to provide a weekly opportunity for us to get together online and discuss the latest news and issues concerning maternity & midwifery.

With that in mind here are our top 10 most viewed episodes of the year, thank you to all of our speakers and viewers as always.
