A quantitative study with the completion of an online survey which aims to look into: How women from Black and minority ethnic (BME) communities feel about Perinatal mental health care for Low mood and Depression?
We would like to invite you to take part in our research study as you are registered as a midwife in the UK. This research aims to look into BME women and access to perinatal mental health care with the completion of an online survey for Healthcare professionals to complete. This research is important because some research has looked into Perinatal mental illness among BME communities but there is still little known in this area, specifically low mood in BME women in the perinatal period.
The survey should take up to 20 minutes. The end goal is to help raise awareness on the best support needed for BME women during the perinatal period. Your help would be greatly appreciated in completing this survey and circulating the link to any Healthcare professionals that work with women during pregnancy and the year after childbirth to reach a representative sample and raise awareness. The survey is closing this Sunday 14th July.
The survey data will remain confidential and anonymous, meaning no emails, IP addresses and/or geolocation data will be identified in the responses. All online data will be completely destroyed following the completion of data collection.
This project has received ethics clearance through the University of East London School of Psychology Research Ethics Committee. Thank you very much for your thoughts and time. If you have any questions, you can email the researcher at [email protected].
