Obstetric medicine course opportunity

Dr Anita Banerjee, Obstetric Physician, Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, and recent speaker at the Wales and South West Maternity and Midwifery festival, shares an opportunity available for a short Post graduate course; “The Essential Knowledge of Obstetric Medicine”.

Anita tells us:

“ the course has been developed to address the knowledge gaps that contribute to poor outcomes and indirect causes of maternal death. Teaching cuts across a range of professions that have traditionally been taught in silos and participants will improve their clinical knowledge and strengthen multi-disciplinary team working.

The module is open to for all health professionals working on the shop floor and is delivered by an expert faculty including obstetricians, anaesthetists, midwives, and advanced nurse practitioners.

Feedback from the three cohorts to complete this module was hugely positive and highlighted the value of the multi-professional learning approach (discover more via this link). The module is available as a post-graduate medicine 30-credit module or, without an assessed component, a CPD course, and open for international participants via blended learning. “
