The image was also featured in the Royal Collection Trust’s exhibit The Queen: 60 Photographs for 60 Years celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012. Queen Elizabeth was only the second British monarch to reach that anniversary, following her great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria (1837 – 1901), who celebrated her own Diamond Jubilee in 1897.
We would like to include a tribute to the Queen at the Wales and South West Maternity and Midwifery Festival on 13 September 2022. We know she has opened many hospital trusts around Wales and the South West as well as all around the United Kingdom during her 70-year reign.
In commemoration, we would like to create a page of memories and tributes to show our respect for Her Majesty’s long-standing service.
As a work and education programme this event will be going ahead as did the festivals during lockdown.
