Maternity and midwifery services are under constant pressure to adapt and change.  We receive a lot of anecdotal feedback that services are changing shape, some of it positive, some of it questionable, in response to the heightened awareness of risk and Birth Trauma following the Ockenden reports, the changing expectations of pregnant women, the pressures on staffing and maternity unit resources and advances in technology.

This is the first in a series of anonymised Maternity and Midwifery Forum surveys to test your opinion and get feedback among our subscribers on current and long running issues in maternity services.

This survey is on Infection control in maternal examination, please fill it in, responses are anonymous, it includes questions supported by Derma UK who make Hibitane, an antimicrobial lubricant some of you will already be using.

It takes about 3 minutes to fill in, it’s anonymous. We will publish the results and you will have helped give us all insight into what is happening in infection control in maternity and midwifery services in the UK.
