Breastfeeding Celebration Week: What do you need to know?

Breastfeeding Celebration Week 2021 runs from 21st – 27th June.

The theme this year is how partners and the wider family unit can support breastfeeding, with a key focus on how to get the whole family involved and bond with baby.

La Leche League GB have published a comprehensive article discussing the different ways in which we can help support a breastfeeding mother. Written by mothers of LLLGB and adapted by Ellen Mateer, the article is well worth reading and sharing here.

If you need to catch up on the latest research and guidance on breastfeeding, we have gathered together some of our most up to date and thought provoking presentations below.

Whilst everything possible should be done to celebrate and support breastfeeding, it is equally important to recognise the needs and offer support to women who haven’t been able to breastfeed. Professor Amy Brown perfectly illustrates the issue in this presentation.
