Sharon Kinsella

Sharon comes from a nursing background of over 46years working in general nursing, paediatric and neonatal intensive care and midwifery and has a Masters Degree in Midwifery Education and also Advanced Nursing Practice and is a RNP. She worked as a midwifery and NICU tutor for 9years in the Coombe Hospital before deciding to have a career change and work with her husband in their business. However the love of nursing pulled her back into patient care and she has worked in GP Practice for the past 17years delivering nurse and midwifery led clinics with a special interest in chronic disease management and women’s and child health. Sharon also lecturers as an Assistant Professor of Nursing in Hibernia College Faculty of Nursing. She is passionate about Nursing and Midwifery education with a focus on the further professional development of the GPN. Sharon is the National Chairperson of the IGPNEA and has just stepped down as the National Chairperson of the GPN section of the INMO.
