Triona Neenan
Triona Neenan MSc, RGN, is a Registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Medical Oncology in University Hospital Limerick. She has over 25 years of experience in cancer care, specialising in the management of gynaecological, urological malignancies along with Brain Tumours, Sarcoma and Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer. She is focused on delivering patient-centred, evidence-based care and has a longstanding commitment to improving outcomes for patients.
Following the award of a Master’s degree in Advanced Practice Nursing from the University of Limerick, Triona established and currently leads nurse-led clinics for women with ovarian cancer and men with Prostate Cancer receiving oral anti-cancer medication. These clinics are designed to deliver holistic care with a focus on enhancing quality of life, promoting early intervention, and optimising supportive care strategies.
Her clinical and academic interests lie in the advancement of oncology nursing practice and the development of supportive interventions that empower patients and their families. She remains dedicated to improving cancer outcomes through education, evidence-based practice, and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
